Better dehumidification system performance is necessary as industry develops and populations grow. Current methods of air dehumidification can be generally divided into two parts: cooling condensation and independent dehumidification. Vapor compression cooling system is the most commonly used cooling condensation system in buildings.
Apart from near room temperature application, PEM-based electrolytic and high-voltage discharge dehumidification are also applicable for refrigerators with sub-zero temperatures and wood drying with more than 80 °C due to the absence of liquid water and no requirement of desiccant.
