Free QuoteBy utilizing the deployment of UAV-mounted base stations (UAV-BSs) providing communication coverage for ground UDs, as mentioned before, the communication coverage scenarios can be categorized into two types, UAV alone communication coverage and UAV communication coverage together with existing SBSs.
By equipping UAVs with communication units to function as aerial base stations, wireless connections can be established with ground users to improve the quality of service (QoS for short), thereby compensating for the limitations of terrestrial communication systems in terms of flexibility and coverage range.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) mounted Base Stations (UAV-BSs) have been widely used to enhance communication coverage for ground user devices (UDs) due to their intrinsic nature of flying. In this paper, we study the deployment of UAV-BSs for on-demand full communication coverage problem.
In the aforementioned situations, UAV base stations (UAV-BSs for short), with their notable agility,, rapid deployment capabilities, and line-of-sight (LoS) connectivity, are suitable to offer viable solutions to previously mentioned challenges,,, .
When a UAV-BS b is in the serving state, it needs to communicate with users and serve. We adopt the air-to-ground model to describe the communication between users and the UAV-BSs. We use f t: U t ↦ B t to represent the connection between a user u ∈ U t and a UAV-BS b ∈ B t.
Initially, a network backbone is established using the UAV-BSs. Following this, local information from various sub-blocks, including users' distributions and UAV-BSs locations, is gathered and relayed through the network backbone to the remote station.
