Huawei plans to deploy energy storage project in Dublin

18 October 2022: Huawei today announced a €150 million investment and the creation of 200 new jobs as it plans to open its first European cloud hub in Dublin. The announcement was made at the Huawei Connect event in Paris, France.

We see Ireland as a strategically important location for the global deployment of Huawei Cloud. The new offering will be based on stable, reliable, secure, compliant, innovative, and sustainable cloud services customised to meet the needs of various Irish and European customers, but particularly small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

“We hope to serve more European customers and enterprises based on the first service point that we open in Ireland,” she said. The announcement was made at the company's Connect event in Paris. Tony Yangxu, chief executive of Huawei Ireland, said the Republic was strategically important to the global deployment of Huawei Cloud.
