The external/internal factors that affect the cycle life of lithium-ion batteries were systematically reviewed. Three prediction methods were described and compared for SOH and remaining battery life estimation.
The dataset contains approximately 96,700 cycles; to the best of the authors' knowledge, our dataset is the largest publicly available for nominally identical commercial lithium-ion batteries cycled under controlled conditions (see Data availability section for access information).
External and internal influence factors affecting the lifespan of power lithium-ion batteries are described in particular. For external elements, the affect mechanisms of the operating temperature, charge/discharge multiplier, charge/discharge cut-off voltages, the inconsistencies between the cells on the service life are reviewed.
Therefore, the experiment data showed that power lithium-ion batteries directly affected the cycle life of the battery pack and that the battery pack cycle life could not reach the cycle life of a single cell (as elaborated in Fig. 14, Fig. 15). Comparison of lithium-ion battery life prediction methods. The data-driven method establishes a prediction model based on the statistical laws of historical data, without considering the physical and chemical reactions inside the battery, and can quickly predict the state and life of the battery.
