How much electricity can be stored in the battery swap station

The Power Swap Station occupies a surface area of just 65m2 with a 20m2 auto-park area at the front – roughly the same space as that required for six high power charging stations. Each station can hold up to 21 batteries2 and can deliver up to 408 swaps per day at maximum capacity.

Six brands have already joined CATL's battery swap syndicate and confirmed to mass produce 10 models with Choco-SEB swappable batteries. Among them are SGMW's Wuling Bingo or GAC Aion S, which will launch with battery swap support in early 2025. CATL's Choco-SEB swap stations will have 14 – 30 large battery compartments.

Energy storage compensates for fluctuations in electricity. This stabilises the grid and helps to reduce electricity prices.
