Then, the amount of current that the battery should compensate for is determined using the proposed fuzzy logic controller.
Currently, a battery energy storage system (BESS) plays an important role in residential, commercial and industrial, grid energy storage and management. BESS has various high-voltage system structures. Commercial, industrial, and grid BESS contain several racks that each contain packs in a stack. A residential BESS contains one rack.
First, the study proposes a new control strategy using wavelet transform, neural network and fuzzy logic to deal with energy management problem of the battery and supercapacitor hybrid energy storage system. Second, the proposed strategy has good real-time and adaptive performance, which has been validated based on a hardware platform.
These features make this reference design applicable for a central controller of high-capacity battery rack applications. Currently, a battery energy storage system (BESS) plays an important role in residential, commercial and industrial, grid energy storage and management. BESS has various high-voltage system structures.
In all control methods and strategies for the battery and supercapacitor combined energy storage system, the primary objectives are to divide the power into two components—low frequency and high frequency and regulate the DC link voltage.
