Package: TO-220 Packaging. Low internal resistance. The IRF3205 is the best choice for N channel MOSFET for Inverter circuit designing and fast switching applications. The TO-220 Packaging is very useful because the size of the MOSFET is very small compared with the IRFP250.
IRF3205 is manufactured by International Rectifier (now a part of Infineon Technologies), also prefix in the part number indicates the same. Extremely low on-resistance per silicon area, combined with the fast switching speed and high grade device design that HEXFET power MOSFETs are well known.
A fifty watt inverter discussed in one of my previous posts can be easily turned into a massive 500 watt inverter by simply replacing its MOSFETs by the above type.
